Hgnetpyit Taung Zedi
On a hillock named Hgnet Pyit Taung are two zedis each about 25 feet high.
In a tunnel on the north side of Hgnet Pyit Taung there is a Buddha image of 14 feet high in an earth-touching gesture. It is named Gotama Buddha. On the northern wall of the zedi on the south there are ink writings which say, “In the sakarit year 726 (i.e A D 1364) the Buddha image was broken open by treasure hunters. The Maha Thera (i.e senior monk) of Hgnet Pyit Taung repaired the image”.
On the south of Hgnet Pyit Taung hill there are Hgnet Pyit Taung tunnels. On the west is Shin Arahan’s brick monastery.
